Location
Clarksburg Community Hospital‘s 60-acre Cabin Branch site, located at Interstate 270 and Route 121 in Clarksburg, will include a 86-bed hospital, a skilled nursing-care center, physician offices, outpatient treatment facilities, a day care center and other related uses. The hospital will include all private rooms, an 18-bed obstetrics unit and a full-service Emergency Department. The campus has received all major land-use approvals from Montgomery County, with a final site plan to be filed later this year. If approved by the state, the hospital could open as early as late 2012.
Our Commitment to Improving Access
Adventist HealthCare’s Clarksburg plan is a continuation of its longtime commitment to improve access to health-care services in upper Montgomery County. This commitment began with the opening of Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in 1979 and continued with the opening of the Germantown Emergency Center in 2006. Last year, the hospital opened two clinics for the uninsured in Germantown and a prenatal center for uninsured women. Adventist HealthCare provides more uncompensated and charity care than any other health system in the county.
Why Clarksburg?
Clarksburg’s population is expected to grow 600 percent over the next 20 years – the largest increase of any Montgomery County community. Urbana, a nearby community in Frederick County, is also experiencing significant growth. Considering this growth and the location of existing health facilities, a Clarksburg hospital will improve access to care for the region with minimal impact on existing health-care services.
Community Collaboration
Adventist HealthCare has also been working collaboratively for several years with the Clarksburg community and various property owners to assure that the medical campus fits in seamlessly with planned residential and commercial growth. View Community Testimonials
