Expanding Access

For over 100 years we have been dedicated to bringing health to the community and the community into health including tireless efforts to improve the access to care in the upcounty areas with initiatives such as:

Clarksburg Community Hospital

For several years Adventist HealthCare has worked in an open and collaborative manner with Clarksburg residents on the future Clarksburg Community Hospital and a comprehensive medical campus that will expand access to health care for the region. This project is critical to the long-term health of the Clarksburg community.

Germantown Emergency Center

In 2005, the upcounty community joined together to win approval for the Germantown Emergency Center. After nearly three years of successful operations, this high-quality facility provides important emergency medical services to more than 33,000 patients each year. The Emergency Center and a well-planned Clarksburg hospital and medical campus off I-270 will expand access to medical care for the entire upcounty region.

The Germantown campus also includes: The MobileMed Upcounty Care Clinic which opened in September 2008 and will provide medical care to more than 1,000 uninsured county residents this year; The Shady Grove Adventist Prenatal Center in Germantown, part of the Montgomery County Maternity Partnership Program, which provides free prenatal care to about 200 county residents each year who are uninsured or under insured; and several physician offices.
